To end the year on a lighthearted note and to insert some Christmas spirit into the CAD world, TraceParts launched, back on December 1, its annual Christmas Tree Design Contest in partnership with Schneider Electric.
The contestants had the task of designing a special Christmas Tree using the CAD or image processing software of their choice. The Christmas Tree was to be created using as many standard machine parts as possible found on the TraceParts platform. Special points were given for using parts coming from the Schneider Electric catalog.
From all the entries, the three most creative trees were awarded prizes by a jury. In a company statement, TraceParts comments: “We are overwhelmed by the incredible creativity of the participating TraceParts community, and warmly congratulate all the contestants for the time they invested by creating their trees.”
The winner will receive an Xbox One Serie S, the second-place winner will get an Apple iPad Air 2 and the third-place contestant will receive an Amazon Echo 2020.
The company says to stay tuned for more TraceParts Design competitions coming soon!
