devDept, provider of .NET software components for the engineering industry, has released Eyeshot 2024, a 3D CAD software component for Microsoft WinForms and WPF platforms. Eyeshot 2024 includes improvements to better handle massive mesh datasets in 3D printing simulation.
This update introduces enhancements to its 3D printing and Wire EDM simulation capabilities by introducing two new specialized entities. The latest version of the enables developers to simulate 3D printing extrusion process and Wire EDM machining in real-time, according to the company. These new entities provide more sophisticated data organization, offering improved accuracy and efficiency in the simulation process, the company said.
Eyeshot has been enhanced with a range of additional features, such as FEA result display animation, FEM modal analysis, improved import capabilities for STEP and IFC files, curve and surface tessellation by angle only, and the ability to both read and write glTF files.
The introduction of the subscription model for development has enabled a complete refactoring of the licensing system, bringing benefits such as no runtime licensing and the installation on an unlimited number of devices, the company said in a press release.
Eyeshot 2024 is now available as a NuGet package only for Microsoft NET6, NET7, NET8, and NET Framework 4.7.2. It is accessible through the company's private NuGet server and compatible with Linux and macOS operating systems. Eyeshot 2024 source code samples now include ExploreIFC, MeshEditor, and SurfaceMesher, while FirstPerson and Globe have been improved.
